Quexst Healthcare brings you the opportunity to train with different experts in Orthopedic Spine Surgery. We offer short duration fellowship of 4 weeks. Orthopedic spine surgery entails understanding of the diagnosis, treatment, and management of all musculoskeletal conditions of the back, neck and spine. A spine surgeon needs to be highly trained and extensively experienced, to use the most advanced treatment modalities to treat all bone, joint, nerve, muscle and tendon disorders of the spine, neck and back, from simple to complex. A spine surgeon needs to understand the roles of physiatrists, and use nonsurgical and less-invasive options first, opting for surgery only if necessary. It is important to understand the minimally invasive surgical procedures to treat spine conditions and injuries, and the rehabilitation to restore strength of patients. Spine has Neuro and Orthopedic specialties involved and it is important to learn to under , diagnose and deal with both , working in collaboration with the neurologist.
The duration of clinical rotation is 4 weeks. It is fully practice based, with learning on models and real patients. Student will be given opportunity to observe, assist based on the capability of the student and permission of the patient. You will receive the course certificate from the teaching hospital. The certificate issued on successful completion of the clinical rotation is not a registrable qualification.
