Infectious diseases are a major cause of ill health in community and hospitalized patients. They rank in top 10 causes of death. These diseases are caused by various microorganisms like bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites which are directly or indirectly transmitted to humans.

LEARNING MODEL

The online certificate course in Infectious Diseases is developed for all those who are MBBS graduates and above. Evidence based learning approach is most important to practicing medical graduates. The course is offered by distance learning method where by the student will log-in on the Learning Management System and study the subject through the video lectures. The course offers full flexibility allowing the student to study the lectures any time, any number of times. As this is an eLearning course, the assessments are done through MCQ based online tests.

The course lectures are delivered through the online learning and assessment platform, our Learning Management system (LMS)

The course duration is 12 weeks. There are 12 modules. On completion of every module, the student has to give a short module end test. All assessments are MCQ based examination. After all module study and assessments are complete, the student gives a final MCQ based examination. On successful completion of final examination, a certificate of completion will be issued. The course certificate is not registrable.

The student gets a chance to reappear for the examination once if the first attempt is unsuccessful

All Allopathy practitioners, registered with National Medical Commission, India are eligible. All those who are registered with NMC, need to submit their Medical Council Name and Number for eligibility confirmation.

Foreign Nationals need to submit their license to practice for eligibility confirmation.

None allopathic practitioners need to call and speak/write to us to know more details

DURATION & TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The course duration is 12 weeks from the start date of the course. However, in case the student is unable to complete the study and final examination in stipulated time, on request the student is given maximum additional 12 weeks to complete the course. In case the student wants to continue the study further to complete the course beyond 24 weeks, the student will need to pay applicable administrative fees and continue and finish the course in further time allocated for completion.

Student once registered can not withdraw from the course and will not be given refund of fees , once paid.

The student is given eligibility based on the medical council registration details submitted by him/her. In case the details are false, the student can not be given course certificate and will not be given any refund of fees.

HOW TO REGISTER

Since this is an eLearning course, we use technology starting from registration process
The steps to be followed are given below:

Send us copies of your Medical Council Registration details( Council Name and student registration no)
Your request with documents provided by you will be sent for eligibility confirmation.
On receiving confirmation, the eligibility confirmation letter along with fees and bank details will be sent to you.
On receipt of fees payment by bank transfer / or payment options, your profile will be created on the learning Management System and your will receive the email with username, password and start up instructions.

1. Is Online learning a good option for this program?

Though the subject is taught using internet based learning method, it covers practical approach for treating the disease. The program is meant for practicing doctors, who would find it difficult to attend lectures at a specific time & to reach location for study purpose. However, knowledge update is very essential, hence this is the most appropriate learning method.

2. In what depth is the program coverage?

The syllabus covers different infections, each one of it is covered through a separate lecture, giving it the due importance. The details also cover paediatric aspect for diagnosis as well as treatment. The coverage also has latest diagnostic techniques and treatment methodologies. There are 72 lectures making this a very comprehensive course

3. What is covered in the program?

Certificate program in Infectious Diseases covers all the Major Infectious Diseases going into Basics - Diagnosis, investigations n many more topics. You can complete the program in shorter period, but we suggest you give more time to study to be able to complete assessment tests in effective manner

5. I am not based in India. Can I still do the program?

You can do the program sitting in any part of the world, since it's a completely online program. You can study these Video Lectures any time of the day since it is not time bound. You can also give MCQ Based exams after each module and Final examination as per your convenience.

6. Can I get practical hands-on experience in the program?

The lectures have exhaustive case discussions, hence it may not be necessary for a practicing doctor to work with a mentor for practical experience. 7. I am a fresher, Is the program meant for experienced doctors?

Overall a very good Practical Oriented Program. Faculty was very good, explained the lectures in a very Elaborative Way. Program was more Adult Oriented. Since, he’s a Pediatrician wants to learn more of Pediatric related infectious diseases though some topics were available for study like measles and mums. Module exams were tough and competitive and to clear FINAL Exams had to revise lectures and clear the exams. Wants soft copy of the program to study since staying in remote area and can study at his free time. Wants to learn about many aspects related to COVID-19.
